Engr Abdul Shakoor is an Assistant Professor in the Civil Engineering Department. He is also a PhD student of water resource engineering at University of Engineering and Technology, Taxila.

He recently completed his research & modeling training from Ecole Polytechnique Federal de Lausanne, Switzerland. Presently, he is also involved in a research study on Snow/Ice cover dynamics of Passu Glacier in Hunza River Basin, Pakistan with R&D team of Pakistan Meteorological Department, Islamabad. He has more than eleven years of experience in the field of Civil Engineering. He previously worked with several academic institutions, NGO’s/ INGO’s and Government. He also worked in the earthquake affected Northen areas of Pakistan after 2005 and Rehabilitation works after 2010 flood.

His career objective is to utilize his teaching skills towards a challenging career in growth oriented and leading edge that will provide mutual benefits and where from he can utilize his capabilities to the fullest for benefits of the organization and society.

Research Intrest: Mr. Shakoor’s research interests are centered on the Water Resources covers Glaciology and Hydrology, Snow/Ice cover response in high altitude catchments, Climate Change & Variability, Water and Sanitation in emergency situations, Hydrological Modeling.
