Fawaz Bokhari worked as Assistant Professor at the University of the Punjab - College of Information Technology (P.U.C.I.T). He is a Fulbright scholar and was awarded this scholarship in 2007 for his PhD studies in United States. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Arlington (Prof. Gergely Zaruba) in 2012. 

He has served as a session chair for "Ad Hoc and Sensor Networking Symposium (AHSN)", IEEE Globecom December 2011 and has reviewed several journals and conference papers like Computer Communications (COMCOM), Journal of Engineering and Computer Innovations (JECI), ICC 2012, ISWCS 2010, CyberC 2010, VTC 2009 & 2010, WoWMoM 2009. He has also served as a member for the Fulbright Scholarship selection committee in Pakistan for the year 2009 and 2012. 

He is a member of IEEE, and OCP.

Research Interest: Dr. Fawaz research interests include network protocols design (Layer 2,3 & 4 of TCP/IP stack) for wireless and wired networks, wireless multimedia communication, wireless mesh networks for developing regions, network monitoring and deployment, TCP and routing for datacenters, cloud computing and mobile computing.
