Research Specialization: Microbial fuel cells for resource recovery and wastewater treatment
Dr. Jafar Ali received his PhD degree (Specialization: Microbial fuel cells for resource recovery and wastewater treatment) from Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China. During his PhD, he published 8 papers as first author. His papers are published in all SCI journals with high impact factors ( up to 13). He has also published more than 30 coauthor papers in well renowned journals. Moreover, He has won excellent international graduate award 2020 of UCAS, China. During his PhD, he was awarded combined scholarship of Chinese Academy of Sciences scholarship and Beijing govt scholarship. He has recently completed one post doc from United Arab Emirates University, UAE. Furthermore; he received his MS from Quaid-i-Azam University in Microbiology, Islamabad, and BS from University of veterinary and animal sciences, Lahore. His research interests involve, (a) Bio-electrochemical technologies for sustainable wastewater treatment , (b) Recovery of critical and strategic metals through biogenic and ecofriendly methods, (c), Development of electrocatalysts for renewable energy and environmental remediation (d) Applied microbiology, Advance oxidation Processes (AOPs) and antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) in environment.
