Industrial visits always play a cardinal role in strengthening the technical knowledge of students and provide them with the much-needed insight into mega industries. These visits aid in clarification of theoretical misconceptions and seal important concepts into the pockets of memory.
Prof. Dr. Kamran Muzaffar Khan, Head of Civil Engineering Department MYU organized an industrial visit for First Semester Students to Askari Cement Factory Wah on Jan 17, 2017.
Faculty members including Engr. Iftikhar Mahmood (Assistant Professor), Engr. Muhammad Tufail (Lab Engineer) and Engr. Waqas Ahmad (Lab Engineer) also accompanied the students. Engr. Faseh Ud Din Usman (Assistant Manager) gave a warm welcome to the students and faculty at Askari Cement Factory and escorted them to the factory along with Tea Break. There, he delivered an elucidative session on different processes of Cement manufacturing and explained the operations which flabbergasted the students. The picturesque and gigantic factory was then shown to the students where the instructors explained the details about the operations.
