MYU successfully conducted its first ever online midterm exam in May 2020. The evaluation of each student was done thoroughly using a number of methods listed below. It was ensured that each student was interviewed or viva is taken to determine that he or she has grabbed the concept correctly. The faculty worked hard to learn the new system of evaluation and examination. The following alternatives were used for evaluation:
1) Take-Home Exam
2) Project Based
3) Multiple Choice (MCQ)
4) Verbal interview/viva/evaluation
5) Direct exam solving on camera or off camera
The Vice Chancellor ensured through a number of training programs that the quality of evaluation may not suffer. Dr Hijazi while addressing the Deans and HoDs recognized that the new evaluation system was better than the in-class evaluation system. He suggested that MYU should adopt many of these methods of evaluations in regular systems.
