Event Description

MY University organized Table Tennis tournament from 8th to 10th October, 2018, more than 80 students participated in men single and double category. Prof. Dr Tahir Hijazi Vice chancellor Muslim Youth University inaugurated the tournament on 8th of October.

The tournament proved a huge success. Students participated vigorously. This event reinforced My University mission of producing not only professionally skilled graduates but graduates who are better individuals as well. Students utilized this platform as a vent of their energies and also learned the importance of team-work, hard work, and never-say-die spirit.

Abdullah Zain student of Electrical Engineering is winner of Single category while salman shahzad student of Electrical Engineering is runner-up in men single.

Minhaj ul Hasan and Aanis Ghani student of Civil engineering won the double category from department of electrical Engineering students Talha Ahmed and Salman shehzad.

Prizes were distributed on the final day to the finalist teams in prize distribution ceremony by Prof Dr Tahir Hijazi Vice chancellor, MY University. In which he concluded the session with the words that the growing popularity of computer, video games and television makes the children very inactive in their lifestyles. The time spent in these things may be spent in some physical activities. Parents should be a role model for their children. If the parents are looking very active, the children are more likely to be more active and will stay active for the rest of their life.Participation in sports and other physical activities can have many benefits for children. Participation in organised sports offers the chance for youth to enhance their physical and social skills. A balance should be maintained that matches the child’s maturity, skills, and their interests with their sports participation. Sports offer children a change from the monotony of their daily life. It is also a useful means of entertainment and physical activity for them. At the end the Vice chancellor announced at that this tournament will be held after every two months.
