The Institute of Islamic Studies & Shariah, MY University Islamabad organized a one-day seminar on Interfaith Studies, in which
Dr. Sajila Kausar,
Chairperson, Department of World Religions & Interfaith Harmony,
The Islamia University of Bahawalpur,
participated as the Guest of Honour and Keynote Speaker.
She delivered an insightful talk on the theme “Contemporary Research Trends in the Study of Religions”, where she introduced graduate scholars to new research directions in the field of religious studies. She emphasized following the methodology of the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and observing how he interacted with people of other faiths. She urged the audience to reflect whether Muslims living today alongside non-Muslims are following the Prophetic ﷺ model or not.
Towards the end, a Q&A session was also held, during which Dr. Sajila addressed the questions asked by students comprehensively and graciously.
