Programs - MS Computer Science

The MS (Computer Science) comprises of both course work as well as research component. There are four ‘core courses’ aimed at strengthening the understanding and competence of students in computer science fundamentals. The University expects its MS graduates to pursue careers either as ‘Computer Science Faculty Members’ or as ‘Software Development Managers’ in the industry.

Duration:

The minimum duration of the MS is two years and maximum duration is four years as per HEC policy.

Award of Masters’ Degree:

On recommendations of the FBS of the University will award Master’s degree to the students who satisfy the following conditions:

  1. Have passed courses totaling at least 30 credit hours, including four core courses.
  2. Have achieved a minimum CGPA of 2.5 in coursework with a minimum of B grade in thesis (6 credit hours).
  3. Have completed prescribed credit hours (30crh) in coursework based programs with a minimum CGPA of 2.5.
