Objectives of the Program:-
MS Biological Sciences program provides a unique opportunity to the students for studying all the aspects of modern technology and research using various molecular biotechnology techniques to give solution for complex diseases, economical and industrial problems by focusing on life science and emerging technologies. The program provides an opportunity to tailor coursework and research work to fit the career goals of individual students. Our graduates are well-equipped to tap the vast opportunities available in academia, bio-technology industry and research domains. The curricula for the degree program are designed to prepare manpower, needed for the economic development of the country.
Scope Regarding Market:-
There are a lot of job opportunities in the fermentation, pharmaceutical and in industrial biotechnology. Agricultural biotechnology has a less job scope due to a smaller contribution of private sectors in this area. There are lot of areas where students of this field can contribute a lot like, in the government and private diagnostic labs, GMO testing facility, forensics labs, schools and colleges as a teachers or lab instructor/manager, universities as a researcher or skilled labor. Reality is that public and private partnership is nascence and maturing with rapid pace which will give birth to higher demand for biotechnologist. Diagnostic labs are working almost at every corner and there is lot gap between demand and supply of skilled labor or technical staff
